Whether you want a nice meal before ringing in 2016 at home or an extravagant feast with the champagne flowing, here is your 2015 Guide to Dining Out in Houston this New Year's Eve:

Guests can also pre-order champagne for the midnight toast and receive 20 percent off. 

Backstreet Cafe

Enjoy a NYE feast with Gulf Coast soul, plus a sparkling cocktail toast to 2015 at midnight and live music by Bob Chadwick for $74 per person. Menu highlights include seafood beignets, duck confit with spiced butternut squash and charred Brussels sprouts; and pumpkin crème brulee.

Both locations will also be open on New Year’s Eve. An a la carte menu with favorites and great specials will be offered for dinner, along with a celebratory champagne toast at midnight. At the Village location, specials include Roasted Bone Marrow with house pickles, rustic bread, and fig compote; and Filet for 2 (14 oz) with roasted fingerings, Brussels sprouts, and crab Béarnaise.

Bernadine’s

At the recently opened Bernadine’s, Executive Chef Graham Laborde presents a special ticketed NYE dinner featuring his signature Southern and Gulf Coast fare. Tickets are $100 per guest, and wine pairings are an additional $50 per person. Highlights from Chef Laborde’s menu include: Pickled and Fried Green Tomato Salad with Louisiana Blue Crab; Oyster and Artichoke Bisque; Gulf Flounder with Saffron Crab Broth and a Jicama-Sunflower Ravigote; Seared Bone-in Pork Chop with Fried Oyster Foch; and Satsuma Upside Down Cake with Buttermilk Ice Cream.

Bistro Provence

The bistro will host two special multi-course dinners on NYE. With one-hour seating times beginning at 5 p.m. and 5:30 p.m., owner Genevieve Guy and new French Chef Cedric Vernin have created a three-course seasonal French menu which includes choices for each course. The cost for this one-hour pre-party dinner is $45 per person. For those wishing to celebrate in a more leisurely style, the restaurant is presenting two-hour seatings with a more extensive menu focusing on one of France’s most beautiful culinary areas. The more leisurely two-hour dinners can be reserved for 6 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. or 8 p.m to 8:30 p.m. and conclude with complimentary glasses of Voirin Jumel Tradition NV Champagne with dessert. The cost is $85 per person, plus tax and gratuity.

Black & White

Damian’s Cucina Italiana

Midtown landmark Damian’s will serve a three-course meal for $59.95 a person with Italian classics like Prosciutto con Asparagi, Snapper Dievole, Linguini Benedetto and a sea-salted, caramel-chocolate layered cake. A $16.95 children’s menu will also be available.

Del Frisco's Double Eagle Steakhouse

Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steak House will offer a limited version of their regular dinner menu and a featured 8oz Filet & Lobster for $79.

On New Year’s Eve, toast 2015 farewell with Chef Don Schoenburg as he showcases a special, five-course, prix fixe menu. Reserve your table during the first seating at 6 p.m. priced at $90 per person or opt for a later dinner at 9 p.m., with a champagne toast, also priced at $90 per person. Enjoy menu items like Butter Poached Lobster with sweetbreads, artichokes, mache and shellfish emulsion; Cinnamon Rubbed Pork with ancient grains, charred scallions and red mole; and Apple Tart Tatin with roasted apples, Fat Cat Creamery ice cream and caramel sauce. Holley’s Seafood Restaurant & Oyster Bar

Live entertainment is the backdrop for a five-course Black and White-themed dinner at Chef Mark Holley’s namesake restaurant. Ring in 2016 with local blues band, Luther and the Healers, as they set the mood for the countdown, along with party favors, champagne toast and dancing. Menu highlights include roasted bone marrow, housemade burrata, seared akaushi tartar, peppercorn crusted veal ribeye, an artisan cheese plate and down south coconut cake. Cost is $125 per person. Hubbell & Hudson Bistro

Step back into time with a Great Gatsby-themed celebration and take your pick from three options. The first, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., is a $49, three-course dinner with foie gras, lamb shank and profiteroles; the second begins at 7:30 p.m. and features a five-course menu for $79 per person; and the final 9:30 p.m. seating and offers five-courses, plus live music, party favors and champagne toast for $99 per person. The Bistro is also offering brunch through the weekend beginning on New Year's Day at 11 a.m., January 2 at 11 a.m. and Sunday, January 3 at 9 a.m.

Hugo's

Hunky Dory

Diners and revelers can enjoy a special prix-fixe dinner menu available for $100 per person. Beverage pairings are available for an additional $65 per person. Highlights from Chef Knight’s menu include: Lobster Bisque Vol au Vent (in a flaky pastry shell); Tete de Cochon (sliced rolled pig’s head) with a Poached Egg, Petite Lettuce, and Satsuma; Grilled Short Rib with Black Truffle Puree and Root Vegetables; and a Chocolate and Champagne Terrine.

Main Kitchen will be hosting a NYE dinner with two available seatings. The first seating, 5 p.m. to 6 p.m., priced at $75 has a smaller menu offering a goat cheese bon bon amuse bouche, plus choice of appetizer, main, and dessert.
The second seating, 8 p.m. to 9 p.m., is priced at $125 and includes an additional course and a champagne toast upon arrival. Feast on dishes like Maine lobster bisque, bone in filet mignon, and chocolate tres leches.

Paul’s Kitchen

Paul’s will also be open on New Year’s Day, serving their famous brunch buffet from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. ($29 per person), then their regular dinner menu.

Chef Omar Pereney will be offering two seatings and menus: a three-course prix fixe at 5:30 p.m. priced at $75 and a four-course prix fixe at 8 p.m. priced at $95. Special menu items include Crispy Pork Belly with steamed rice buns, crispy leeks, cucumber and hoisin sauce; Egg Nest with porcini mushroom sauce, celery root, Malanga, yucca, egg 145 and roasted wild mushrooms; Ribeye with morel sauce, pan seared foie and grilled asparagus; and Sweet Corn Cake with almond streusel, vanilla sauce and caramel ice cream. This modern Italian resto’ will offer seatings at 6 p.m., priced at $75 per person, and 9 p.m. for $95 per person. The second seating includes a champagne toast at midnight. Highlights of the four-course menu are Fig Salad with prosciutto, brioche, figs and red onion; Tuna Crudo with radishes, cucumber and blood orange dressing; Pheasant with apple-celery mousseline, new potatoes and huckleberries; and Roasted Pear with honeycomb ice cream and almond nougatine. Ristorante Cavour

One of Houston's hottest new restaurants will offer a special New Year’s Eve fixed price menu for $85, in addition to full oyster bar service all night. The entire menu will be offered with a la carte pricing for walk-in guests at the bar, and possibly the oyster bar, unless State of Grace chooses to use those seats for guests enjoying the fixed price menu. Offerings will include lobster hushpuppies, Gulf blue crab “gumbo” with Hill Country smoked sausage and Texas quail with pepper jelly, cotija grits, house bacon and mustard greens.

Offering great variety, guests will have three salad choices including the Tarakaan Tower and Tandoori Lobster Salad with mango chutney; nine starter options ranging from Duck, Duck Goose Buns to Hamachi Tiradito; four entrée selections like Wagyu Vindaloo 10 ounce Tritip and Badmaash Roasted Chicken with green papaya salad; plus three deserts to debate: signature Pandan Panna Cotta, Chai Chocolate Pot de Crème and Assorted Mochis with ice cream.
